Lord Jesus, help me.
Jesus, my Savior, grant me the grace to love You within me, so that I may learn to love You who live in others. Open my eyes, Jesus, that I may see You within my heart, so that I may recognize Your presence in every person I meet. My Jesus, grant that I may see Your beauty within me, so that I may also see Your beauty reflected in others.
My Jesus, grant that I may love and appreciate my own work, so that I may rejoice in and value the work done by others. Jesus, my Redeemer, grant me the grace to feel the power of Your Holy Cross within me, so that I may always trust in You. Jesus, my Lord, grant me the grace to forgive myself, so that my heart may be free to forgive those who wrong me.
For if I cannot love You within myself, my Jesus, it becomes difficult to love You in others. If I do not see You within me, my Savior, it becomes difficult to see You in others. If I cannot recognize Your beauty within me my God, it becomes difficult to recognize Your beauty in others. And if I cannot forgive myself, it becomes difficult to forgive those who have hurt me. Open the eyes of my heart my Jesus, so that I may see the beauty of Your creation everywhere. “O Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.” Amen.
